Len Coetzee started his career in the SAPS in 1986 culminating in him being a Captain in the Commercial Crime Unit for 10 years where he specialised in white-collar fraud and syndicated crime investigations totalling billions of rand. He worked with the US Secret Service as well with ex US Vice President Al Gore’s administration. He received training in counterfeit foreign currency with the SA Reserve Bank as well as the US Secret Service. Len has travelled extensively internationally and also collaborated with Scotland Yard on Crown Court Cases, the Independent Commission against Corruption Hong Kong as well as the FBI on multi-billion rand investigations.

He started his insurance career in 1995 with Auto & General Insurance setting up their internal Motor and Non Motor Investigations departments.

From 1998-2003 he was self-employed and held various directorships in companies servicing corporate and private companies as well as the short-term industry investigating fraud and corruption, preventing fraudulent pay-outs of claims totalling hundreds of millions of rand.

From 2003 to 2010 Len was employed in management at OUTsurance & FirstRand STI as Regional and Coastal Manager Claims Assessing and Operations and later as an Executive Director on the Board of OUTsurance Namibia.

Len then formed Censeo (Pty) Ltd as an Executive Director and one of the founding members to later become XTND. Len left XTND to take on new challenges to form a new company.

Len is currently the co-founder and Joint Managing Director of AXIS (PTY) Ltd Assessing & Forensic Investigation Services specialising in Insurance Claim Investigations as well as Forensic and Fraud Investigations on a National basis. Len also sits on the Board of Directors of TFS Forensics Africa.

Len has written several articles for the Short Term Insurance Industry over the years for publications such as Risk SA, Cover Magazine and FA News. Len is also a guest speaker and often presents on the ACFE at various Universities in South Africa as well as Annual International Fraud Week Events.

Len is an Internationally Qualified Certified Fraud Examiner since 2011 with the Association of
Certified Fraud Examiners Austin-Texas- NQF Level 7. He was previously Chair for the ACFE Committee in KZN. He was appointed as director on the board and the Vice President of the ACFE South Africa in September 2020. In September 2023 he was nominated and appointed as Chairman of the Board and President of the ACFE South Africa. At the 2023 ACFE SA Gala Awards Ceremony, he was presented the CFE Advocacy Award of the Year 2023. Len is also a member of IAATI- International Association of Auto Theft Investigators as well as the Southern African Region of IAATI. Len is passionate about fighting Fraud and Corruption in our beautiful country and Globally.

Before establishing XTND, Servaas was with the First Rand Group and served as Chief Executive Officer of First Rand Short Term Insurance Administration and Summit Insurance Administration Services.

Servaas has more than 35 years of experience in combatting white-collar and cybercrime. He joined the financial services sector in 1995 after resigning as commander of an organised crime division of SAPS specialising in uncovering criminal activities of foreign syndicates operating in South Africa.

Servaas is amongst others, a certified fraud examiner. He was named the Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Insurance Crime & Fraud Prevention in 2013 and the winner of the Africa CEO Today award in the category Fraud Risk Prevention in 2020. He co-founded the South African Insurance Crime Bureau and is the past president of the South African Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Servaas is the inaugural chairman of the Danie Du Plessis Foundation board and a non-executive Director of the Africa Training Academy (AFRICATA). He received the Honorary Member of the Year award from the ACFE South Africa in 2020.

Lucretia’s journey has been anything but the conventional one. Coming from humble begins, she had to start working at the tender age of 16 while attempting to achieve her Matric certificate. Having said that, University was a privilege that Lucretia was not privy to. None the less, she has thrived and boasts many achievements within the corporate world of Forensic Investigation.

Beginning her occupation as a mother of two into her now renowned profession based truly on skill alone, Lucretia began in 2001 as an Assistant Forensic Investigator for Metropolitan Life. There she not only honed her skills in the said profession, she obtained her Certificate of proficiency (Insurance Institute of South Africa), her Certificate of Auditing & Criminal Justice (UKZN) as well as her certificate of Operational Fingerprint Methodology. It was at Metropolitan Life that Lucretia found her passion and calling to Fraud and Investigative work.

Lucretia in her ambitiousness went on to study more intensely her craft and soon finding the word “Assistant” far behind her. In 2008, Lucretia started at Bidvest her very first middle management position as Forensic Claims Investigator spanning 5 years. She was one of the first investigators to test the CFE Prep Module during 2010 and obtained her CFE designation in 2010 (Advanced Certified Fraud Examiner)

In 2014 Lucretia moved to Regent where she served as Forensic Investigator until March of 2016 and finally having truly aspired to climb the corporate ladder, Lucretia began her current journey as a Forensic Specialist (Band C Management) at FNB Fiduciary dealing with Deceased Estates.

In instances such as these it is only fitting to quote Lucretia Parker herself – “In 23 years I have learned that there is no limit to empowering ones self and others. There are always new opportunities in any investigation career. My aspiration for the future is to empower all individuals in the financial industry on the diverse types of fraud and how to prevent/save institutions from losses.”
